I woke up this morning thanks to a phonecall made from a pal of mine. Stating down keywords in the conversation to actually wake me up to a 110% performance. Those keywords were .. “Dude .. see something here in the city .. stuff u have .. figma .. Kagami ..” .. without a delay i got myself ready preparing to see if the info was legit! Put on my Haruhi shirt, and was deciding if i should bring the SoS Brigade Armband or a Trooper helmet, then i thought to myself .. “Calm down, focus these emotions into otaku inspiration and do something u have not done first … FIGMA OUTDOORS!” .. Since Ojou-sama (Drossel) was the most pose-able figma without stands. She was the Chosen One.
Ojou-sama preparing for the journey .. into Hobart, Tasmania! Ahh the great outdoors!
This is a picture of Elizabeth Mall, along Elizabeth Street.
A doorway leading into Cat & Fiddle.
Finally reaching the destination. A friend i know told me he was opening up a shop, but i did not expect it to be THIS KIND of shop! =3
While Ojou-sama checks out the shop ..
A GREAT DISCOVERY!!
There are comrades in Hobart! And these ones didnt arrive by EMS to my door!
Ojou-sama met Domo-kun
One of the shop owners could not resist me snapping Ojou-sama and decided to participate! Attacking Ojou-sama with a Keroro glove!
People come in and out .. and i can see the kid’s eyes shine when staring at the case.
The kid aint the only one staring around the shop. Ojou-sama keeps her eyes wide open.
So .. he buys a Bleach figure! Nice to see a younger otaku so Ojou-sama decides to take a pic!
Ojou-sama asks for permission to explore the goods inside the show case.
What a coincidence, bumping into another dannychoo.com reader!! Known as Hobart’s own Kuujiryo!
A list scribbled down with common names like Good Smile, Max Factory, Hobby Search and etc. Giving the shop owners what kind of things would sell best when it comes to these kind of shop. Its still new, so the local otakus help them move the right direction!
Taking a group picture with the ferocious bears. Gaooo~~!!
Well, someone went ‘OMG SO KAWAII’ on the neko plushies. Could not resist to take a pic! =3
So its a new shop, but its show promise that more nendo/figmas would reach Hobart. Would be awesome when this shop finally turns into Hobart’s 1st Anime Goods provider. I mean, we have Area52, McCanns and all that, but its all Western stuff from Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and rarely focusing on the anime stuff!
