New puchis join the collection, Lucky Star puchis!

Finally opened the Lucky Star Nendo Petites from Nico Nico. Nico-what? Nico Nico happens to be an otaku shop where you can actually get goods if you order items thru them here in Hobart. If they happen to have it in stock from their suppliers of course. One good thing about them is, their supplies tend to keep spares of otaku goods and stash them away. So this is what i got from Nico Nico! Cant wait for HLJ to post me the rest of the Lucky Star Nendo Petites. I think i might have already mentioned that in my previous post. Oh well .. these pictures were taken at the lowest ISO setting possible with a tripod. The colors on the pictures are soooo rich! Love it that way!

Always wanted these after reading so many owners posting pics about them :3

The thing about taking good quality pics, really shows how much dust there is in the room. Do you dust your room before taking pics?

"She" finally gets to have a scene! And no .. i dont mean Miyuki!

This guy just happens to be the secret character among the Lucky Star #1 Nendo Petite set! Akira does not seem to be pleased with that!

Even tho, she has a bad hip, but that does not mean i leave her out of the picture!

Neko wants a hug? Not all nekos love to get hugged like crazy.

Nendo petites, unlike their bigger counterparts, the nendoroids, are easier to carry around and cute! Its like having ur very own cute multi-colored army of Smurfs!

Was wandering around the wee little town of Hobart with a friend, and we both ended up buying a little something something. They were ‘designer’ cupcakes from Cutie Cups. A small cupcake bakery i always walked passed, but never bought anything from them. With a little push from my friend, i ended up buying myself two cupcakes as well. Did not really eat them till Sunday, when i nearly forgot about them! So i decided to do a quick shoot before Sunday ends =3

The cupcakes came in a small and cutely designed carrier box. Looked like something from Chinese takeaway

Every cupcake was different from each other. Never a same design.

Like all pastry in Australia, they are pretty sweet yet tasty. Just like Krispy Kreme Donuts, but having too much can be overkill

Small and tasty but also pricey. These cupcakes cost nearly 3 dollars each!

March 13th, 2010 – During this day, an event held by the crew that was responsible for AICON 2010, held an anime screening from 1200hrs to 1800hrs. In the year 2009, i pretty much attended one of their anime screenings as well, but back then i didnt have most of my stuff unpacked so i could not document what was happening. I was still new to this anime society. But this time, i came armed with my camera and nendo/figmas and decided to do a decent post to show others how otakus do their thing down here in Tasmania!

For this event, i was invited through Facebook with this message:

“Once again, the Anime Society is having a screening this Saturday the 13th of March. This screening will be running from 1pm-5:30pm at the Centenary Lecture Theatre, at the UTAS, Sandy Bay campus. As usual, the screening costs $3 for non-members, but is free for Anime Society members (Membership for the Anime Society only costs $10 for the whole year) We will be selling food and drinks again, for people who want to snack.

This weekend we will be showing:

1:10pm-2:30pm: Lupin III: Green Vs Red (movie, 79 minutes) [M rating]
When a Lupin impersonator is arrested for shoplifting in Tokyo, dozens of other copycats converge on the city to clear the name of Arsene Lupin III. The real Lupin is in town too, both to watch the show and to steal a mysterious item called the Ice Cube. But one of those impostors also has designs on the Cube, and he might just be good enough to beat the original at his own game.

2:40pm-3:30pm: The garden of Sinners (Kara no Kyoukai) (movie, 48 minutes) [M rating]
Mikiya Kokuto finds himself intrigued by two things. The first is by Shiki Ryougi a beautiful, yet rather unsociable, girl and the other is the strange series of violent deaths that start occuring in his town. As he attempts to get closer to Shiki, he soon learns that the two are connected and that there are many supernatural forces at work which could very likely get him killed as well.

3:40pm-5:30pm: When the Seagulls Cry (Umineko no naku Koro ni) (TV series, episodes 1-4) [M Rating]
Umineko no Naku Koro ni takes place in the year 1986, during the time frame of October 4 and October 5 on a secluded island named Rokkenjima (六軒島, Rokkenjima). The head of a wealthy family named Kinzo Ushiromiya, who lives on and owns Rokkenjima, is near death, and eight of his family members arrive on the island to discuss how Kinzo’s assets will be divided once he is dead. Also on the island are three family members who live there, five of Kinzo’s servants, and his personal physician. After the eight family members arrive, a typhoon traps them on the island and shortly after people start to get mysteriously murdered.

From the president, Greed.”

Below is the Nendo/Figma Tale of what i have seen during this event.

The trio finally unleashed from their travelling bag

Exploring the new surroundings

And then there was a unique discovery

It was a list of special names!

What do we do with the list? Its not like Death Note, i hope!

Its a name list of fellow otakus that belong to the Anime Club, we should sign up too!

Without thinking twice, we signed up quickly

Writing with a pen that size can really tire out tiny figures

Right after the signing, there was a sudden Neko-nap! This girl requested to be Neko-censored >.<

Found many kindred spirits with the similar passion for what we do. Animes! Manga! Games! And so on!

During the screening, they showed Lupin III, Garden of Sinners and Umineko no Naku Koro ni

Busted by the Kyoukas for taking pics during the screening >.<

Discovered some new comrades too. The Vocaloid twins belonged to the Neko-censored girl =3

I didnt not really watch the shows shown today, because i was too busy taking pics of the nendo/figmas in a pitch black lecture hall. But when i was done, i finally went to socialize and see what kind of anime interests everyone had. This was when i met Patrick (Blog: Wakaranai) and Scott (Blog: SARCASM Podcast). Found out that we have have a lot of common interests when it came to anime genre. We talked about Fullmetal Alchemist, Negima, Love Hina, Kodomo no Jikan, Garden of Sinners, Kimi no Todoke, soundtracks, games and etc.

I even played some anime soundtracks on my iPhone during the conversation, but was surprised when people walked up and actually sang the japanese lyrics to the songs. It really felt like a home away from home, was always fun to mix with a group that had all the similar interests in the things i love doing!

One more week till i move homes with my recently arrived AmiAmi Nendo Petite Vocaloid unopened .. however, the nekos are giving me the look .. -_-"

With one more week to go, then i start moving homes .. then i can unleash my collection of nendos and figmas into the world again! Bwhahhahaha *Evil Laughter* However, i would need to get some cabinets to display them. The new room would come with a balcony and its the top floor! Always wanted a good view when i woke up every morning XD

Master Chief (Gixxer) from Comic Fiesta 2009

Comrade Master Chief (Gixxer) from Comic Fiesta 2009 suggested i make another pictorial progress post about how i convert my Hasbro E11 Blaster into a near to screen accurate one. Not sure if i wanna do it in the current home or the new one. But i know i have enough time and the tools =)

March 9th, 2010 – the date when my pre-ordered FFXIII Limited Edition arrived.

The limited edition comes with additional loot shown in the pics below. Less wall-of-text-ing and more pics! Will be trying out the game tonight!

FFXIII Limited Edition comes together with additional loot, starting the with 2010 calendar ..

... the FFXIII soundtrack, a couple of colored character cards ...

.. and a hard covered fully colored book ..

.. and decals that one day, would be used on my armor .. well, just maybe .. gonna need more decals than just two!

.. and for the Final Fantasy fans, we all know there is always a 'CID' in every game. The colored book revealed it. OMG spoilers by accident! T-T

Nyoron~~?? =3

The Hasbro E-11 Blaster that i will soon modify to be the uber light version of my previous 2 blasters!

After watching so many tsundere animes, how can you miss out on the Tenori Taigas! Must get for Taiga fans!

This is pretty much the loot i got from J-List and Doopy's (UK)

Sure its not nendos and figmas, but i would say this is an upgrade to both me and my armor =) A new lighter gun, light is effecient and convenient! And a couple of fun shirts i would love to wear to express myself. No harm hiding that i love anime, its a passion but not crazy enough to be a religion to go fly a plane of yanderes into a building of a foreign country =>

The day i have to send a friend off to the airport as she goes back to Indonesia ..
The day i have to wait up real early to send her to the airport ..
The day i get to meet the other 501st Legion TAG members ..
The day .. that i have to suit up and go to AICON 2010! XD So looking forward to it!!

AICON 2010 will be held at UTAS in Hobart on the weekend. Saturday, 06/03/2010 (1000hrs-1900hrs) & Sunday 07/03/2010 (1000hrs-1700hrs)

I knew i should have dusted the table before i took the pics. ROFL! Talk about super detailed shots! >_<
